Mountain Bike Tour from Olvera to Puerto Serrano in the Via Verde de la Sierra

Octubre 28th, 2010 No Comments »

Yesterday we did a mountain bike tour from Olvera to Puerto Serrano with the students from the TECO School in Mijas where mountain guides receive their education. The tour is along an unfinished railtrack and has a total of 36,5 km along the beautiful scenery of the andalucian mountainside. Another characteristic of the tour is that the track is very flat and can also easily be done with families. Along the track you will have no motorized vehicles and will pass through 30 tunnels ranging from 42 m up to 990m in length.

Here are a few pictures of the tour and the beautiful scenery:

Downhill Biking Tour from Ronda to Marbella with a Dutch Engineering Team

Septiembre 26th, 2010 No Comments »

On Friday we experienced a great team building event – downhill biking from Ronda to Marbella – with a dutch engineering Team that had gathered from several countries to share a few days of adventure and fun in Marbella. The route that goes through the untouched and picturesque area of the Sierra de las Nieves is approximately 38 km long of which 80 % are downhill making it ideal for people that do not have an exceptional fitness level, even though the tour takes approximately 4 hours. One of the highlights of the tour is the stop at the “Castaño Santo” tree that is estimated to have an approximate age of 800 years… on the pictures you can see that it took 11 dutch guys to surround the tree.

Check out the pictures:
